I haven't played it but one of my best friends has it. It has like a guitar you plug into your system right? (Ps2 right?).

Yep. Its coming out for XBox360 in the Spring. I guess Wii will follow suit as well eventually.

Lmao, for a guy who spends so much time on the internet and tech forums, im surprised you dont know what QWERTY is. There are two types of keyboards, QWERTY and DVORAK. Its called QWERTY because the first six letter lines of your keyboard is QWERTY.
cHop-sTicKs
I know about "the first six letter lines of your keyboard is QWERTY"

I just found it funny cuz on msn I usually use it on random people and they go berserk.

in my opinion nintendo makes the best consoles for "gaming" purposes. now having said that i cannot afford nor do i want to by the wii, but i did go and shell out for the new Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess. this game i absolutley addictive. for those of you that still have a gamecube, they made a version for it, which i am playing. i am 40+ hours in to the gameplay and i don't think that i am even half way through, luckily i have some time off right now. for those nes purists out there this game is top-notch!! and i would recommend it on either system. go cop this one!

Yup I got a Wii for christmas and that game is absolutely fantastic. I'm a Zelda fan as well and they did this game in classic style and took everythign to a whole new level. The darker image of the game was great. However it's nice to have to use the wii-most to aim with your weapons, the bow is soo much better that way.

ya i don't doubt that this game is much better on the wii, for playability anyway. i still haven't gotten my hands on a wii to try it out. i was just excited that they even made a game for the gamecube still.

I always wanted someone to make a civil war shooting game. Too bad they blew it. I hope some good developers revisit and create a good game for a change. I'm getting kinda tired of WWII right about now.

I have the 6600 series it still lags with FEAR. It dont matter if you have a lot of memory when your series is low.

This card is okay for now plays perfect on 2005 games. And mostly the early 2006 games but not the later ones.

It's scheduled for mid-2007 IIRC,
It started out as a demo for the new PPUs that are coming out.

Thats only the graphics part. You should check out their realism on physics.

srry i was talkin to scully, I forgot to quote.

I can deal with a console and a PC. I know its pain in the butt upgrading your PC every month or year (which I dont, after a year I usually upgrade) but its worth it. I mean if I was gettin only Wii, there was no way Wii games could cover a game like Crysis. So I hav a PC beside me incase you know?

Ya, and right beside my computer I have my lottery ticket too just in case you know tongue.gif.

Hey, if you can do it, go nuts, but everything is costing more and more, and there is no way you can upgrade the PC at the same rate with these higher prices.
tech
Because of the niche market aspect,
I can see PPU's being built into Graphics Boards (or even onboard the GPU)

They could sell them as "gaming" accelerators.

Scully, don't worry too much,
I doubt many games will require PPUs,
They will just add realism to the environments.
cHop-sTicKs
I dont think so either. There is a physic video card out there though but I dont see why you really need it. It was especially designed for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, but other than that no other games needed that type of thing.

Half Life 2 owned without it so why not.

To my surprise, video cards prices can go down pretty quick. I can get a decent one right now for an ordinary price of a video card which is around $200. DirectX 10 cards just came out, so I'll just wait for it to go there.

It costs me only around $800 just to upgrade everything, including the motherboard etc. But I only do that like every other 2-3 years plus my motherboard is still okay and its been here for about 4 years.

So right now, its just a matter of having a new processor and a new video card. Thats pretty much it for me. But I ain't planning to upgrade my comp yet since I barely have time to play games now a days.

I have a pretty stupid question about Madden 07 for the 360:

I've noticed that no matter what I do, I cannot stop the CPU's running game on All-Madden difficulty. It doesnt matter who is running it, they bust through my D-line and go for about 50, if not a TD (it's more than frustrating). Now is it just me or does the CPU got mad skills when it comes to the running game?
scully19
Without playing Madden, I'm pretty sure it's cuz your playing All-Madden difficulty that they are so good.

have'nt been in here for awhile so i thought i'd give an update as to what i've been playing lately

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

i would'nt say this was a great game but i did have alot of fun playing it...pretty much a standard First person shooter - the game itself was far too short imo but the muliplayer is excellent
one thing i really did like was the fact that there were alot of "bosses" in this game....some really huge bugs clapping.gif
the bad part for me was ( and yes i'm getting picky here ) the fact that the screen would bother my eyes after awhile..there is alot of white in this game ( snow ) and i found it a bit boring to look at

I own a PS2, Wii, DS and an Xbox 360. Love'em all.

I'm a huge RPG fan. Of all the rpg's I've played since the SNES days, I have yet to experience a game that was on the same level of FFVI, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.

Although, the new Zelda game on the Wii was pretty fun.

I dunno, I like 2D games, they should make more 2D games...

What's strange is that, even though I'm a huge basketball fan, I prefer playing a hockey video game instead of a basketball video game...

Or the PC, that's where I played it. I tend to think these games are great in their magnitude, but it seems that they are following too many rules for dungeon and dragons and are not advancing the GAME as much as they are the graphics. I think the same thing about Neverwinter Nights 2 as well, it's got so much stuff that just doesn't make sense to someone who is not a super DD freak. More games need to follow the 'Fable' lead and move the genre on to better things. Mass Effect will take it to such a place that anybody still following these types of games will be completely left behind. An Xbox 360 will be in my hands when this game comes out even if I have to steal and play as much as I can before I'm arrested (clearly not doing any of this), but this is the next great RPG without a doubt, and something to look forward to for gaming.

Size is great, but you need to know how to use it to make it worthwhile, otherwise it is just a waste. At least, that's what my ex-GF told me (in case you didn't notice, I took the size side of the joke, because you can learn how to use it, but you can't learn size).

I could have told you all of that, I can also tell you that there is a combination of attacks and powers with your team that is terrific, where you can tell people to go to a certain place, and do a certain thing (like hide behind this thing and use supresive fire). You have a certain amount of powers, and also have a weapon at all times which you can mod with different things to make them more powerful. You travel around the galaxy in a space ship that you own that has a crew and all. And yes right now the game is scheduled for May, and is much closer to true than any other dates that were set so far, and I think it may be true, but I do not know for sure yet.

Watch this video to see a big portion of what the game is all about:

http://xboxmovies.teamxbox.com/xbox-360-hi...Walkthrough-HD/

And you can read some more hands on previews on that site if you are interested.

Anyone like Tactical Shooters? I've been playing the demo for Ranbow Six: Vegas over and over again (I will be getting the full version in the mail in a day or two). I'm hooked.

This game is solid. You can take cover behind any solid object, and you are taken into 3rd-person perspective seamlessly. The only thing it lacks, as far as gameplay goes, is the ability to move from cover to cover like in Gears of War.

Mission maps are open, in that there are multiple entry ways. You can stack your team on one door, and order them to breach while you sneak in another door. You can use your fibre optic snake cam to spot and tag enemies behind doors. You can repel down the side of a building with your team, and all crash through the window at the same time. Or you can hang upside down and shoot down enemies from outside the window with your pistol before you even know they are there.

Solid game.

considering that most games nowadays are averaging about 9 hrs.....this will be enormous with 40 hrs of main story...but the best part is the 20 or 30 hrs ( on top of the 40 ) of exploring different worlds at you own leisure - incredible!!!
