Just so you know, the xbox 360 is now considering (and almost 100% for sure doing) both switching to 65nm and lowering the price of the 360 console. The 65nm will lower heat which was a big cause of most of the rings of death, and is also cheaper to make because it uses less parts and takes less labor to make, so you would be getting a more efficient, cheaper and better working 360 if you wait a little bit until this point.

Dude GOW is easily the best game for the 360 by far, the co-op is absolutely amazing and the online multiplayer rivals Halo (no im not crazy). Scully, you gotta get that game back and grab a buddy to play with because you're missing out bigtime

Ya me and a buddy were playing through the online co-op, and made it through act 1, then we both got guitar hero 2, and both started playing that, I don't see myself playing it soon at all though, because I'm prob gonna be lending my entire system away soon, then I'm going on vacation.

You create a player and then get drafted by any team in the world, to compete with/against your friends. Still in beta phase, but nice idea .

It all depends on the release dates and time and things of that nature. WWE game makers didn't want to take out Chris Benoit from the newest game because it would have been extremly complicated and the costs would have been through the roof but it had to be done. If EA sports or anyone else has the money to spend...then maybe.

Live is going to have 8 FIBA international teams (I think U.S.A, China, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, and Argentina) this year and I think they are probably going to have like a FIBA tournament mode. sound pretty cool.

Wow, thats pretty good. The FIBA mode might not be perfect yet but this is just the first time they're doing it. I'm sure they will add new courts, teams, players and proper basketballs in later editions.

i think i read somewhere that they decided to add it on in the last month - not sure if that's true or not
but i do agree that next year they will be adding more and more ....or if you have the 360 there is the possibility that you could get add-ons from Marketplace as the year moves on

WOW its just amazing...to tell you the truth i never thought i'd buy one, i alweays thought i'd buy like a PS3 or 360, but after i played my cousin's Wii i knew i had to buy one, so i got on the next day .

I did that last season and I`ll probibly never buy another NBA Live game again. I mean I like that they added post up...but seriously how could they have not had it in last years game . How about not haveing auto subs? WTF is that about, you play the computer and regardless how long the game is the computers starters NEVER sub out....brutal, just brutal. Defencively the game was jorrible. when your playing the computer they can easily just push your man towards the hoop. There is no considerations made in the game in relation to a defended jumpshot and a wide open jumpshot. the only diffeerence between hard and easy is how many dunks you miss. the dribble moves sucked, and frankly I don`t buy that the new system has repaired it. I played the game pretty regularly for months thinking that my defencive problems had more to do with me as a player then it did with the actual game , but I can`t even bring myself to play more then one game before I want to break the disk in half...I have just gone back to playin NBA 06 , and even espn`s 06 is a supior game then live 07....

That said NBA 07 had almost exactly animation and dunks so after 2 seasons of that i was really ready to see something fresh, I just wish live had not dropped the ball so frickin badly, honestly if anyone actually gave both games a try i doubt anyone would be "excited" for lives latest PJ embarrassment...

Yeah I know what you mean, I only played live like twice and I realized it was the worst basketball game I've ever played. You could use the same move every play to score and the defense would never adjust. NBA 2K7 was just a much better game offensively and defensively. That being said though, I heard EA completely scrapped the old system and started again from scratch so thats good to know. It should at the very least be a substantial improvement over the last one.

The newest game I want and will probably be getting real soon is BioShock. It just came out and it looks friggin dope, it blends so many different genres together that you can't categorize it into any one type. It got a rave review on teamxbox which you can read here. I'm going to go to EB and trade in some of my crappier games and pick this up in the next week so that I can play this game for free.

i totally agree Scully...i've been waiting impatiently for this one as well...as soon as i can free up 10 mins in my life i plan on running over to pick this up...it looks amazing

have been playing Bioshock on and off this weekend ( when i've had some spare time ) and all i can say is WOW!!
the atmosphere of this game is incredible....it's a "must play"

The only game I've really ever been hyped up about is the GTA series.

Grand Theft Auto 4 was set to come out next month, but has been delayed, so its new release date is April 2008.....which kind of works for me....right now I only have a Playstation 2 so it will give me some time to save up for an XBox 360 The trailers for this game looks amazing, so I guess I'll just have to wait longer.

I'm sure there has been many people in waiting for this day. Some predict (including Microsoft) predict this game to sell better than major motion pictures, to break their records in the first weekend. They hope for it to be the ultimate console seller. Of course I'm talking about Halo 3. The game goes on sale tomorrow, more specifically the second tomorrow starts. It is selling nation wide at midnight at all major retailers, and it even gets the pleasure of getting an early review.

i've refrained from posting much about Halo 3 because i wanted to wait and see for myself....i've had a game on order ( yes this is one of those rare times when i will actually purchase instead of rent ) and i pick it up today....i personally don't think there is going to be anything groundbreaking about it...just a solid addition and ending to the trilogy...there is not much you can improve on it anyway although it will be interesting to see the difference the 360 makes concerning the graphics....i've heard rumors of a 4 man co-op for the campaign mode that you can play thru Live..if this is true it will be an amazing addition to the game and will add infinite variations to the game-play

I bought Live yesterday for X-BOX 360 and the gameplay is pretty good but not smooth and not too realistic. Like for players that don't dunk, They will dunk like crazy sometimes because Live made one button the dunk/lay-up button. I was using Calderon and he dunked over Samuel Dalembert lol. Also, Players will just go in then dunk and it's pretty impossible to block. Also, the dribbling in it isn't smooth, like it's not all one motion. LAST thing is that the player ratings for some aspects are WAY off. For Anthony Parker, his 3-PT shooting is 40 when it should be like 80. I'm going to rent 2K8 today.

Alright I rented 2K8 and I can say that it's better in game play and game mode. Ratings are perfect since 2K games are ESPN games and all they do is take stats/info and turn them into ratings.

I think I'm done with PS2...games just arent as good anymore and it's time I get a new system. I'm really considering the Wii based on price and it just seems fun to have a system that interactive. Anyone got the pros and cons of a Wii? is it a good investment?

Absolutely no games come out for it.

I wanted the Wii, and this weekend I found out my mom had a Wii for me for my birthday in a couple weeks, and I told her Id rather her just return it.

When the Wii first came out, I was amazed with the new concept; really loved played those little WiiSports games, but lately it seems as if every game that comes out that I want to play (for example NBA 2k8), doesn't come out for the Wii. I'm pretty frustrated with that. Maybe the next time around for Nintendo, the technology will be there to make better games. As of right now they just seem to be childish.

Also, if you are about graphics, which I for one am not (I would much rather have a fun game, than one that I just sit and marvel at the graphics, but get sick of quickly), than I suggest not getting the Wii. I have played a fair amount of games on the Wii and to me, the graphics don't like a whole lot better than the GameCube.
